RCMP officer Thomas O'Rourke comes across a burnt-out wagon-train and its only (female) survivor. His commanding officer is convinced that the Cree are responsible. The real culprits are the Sioux, fleeing North after Little Big Horn. O'Rourke is forced to mutiny to prevent a bloody conflict.
