Kid Galahad" has always been one of Elvis Presley's better movie efforts from the early sixties, with a good plot, a strong supporting cast (including Gig Young, Charles Bronson, Lola Albright, and Joan Blackman) and a handful of joyful songs.
It is presented here in its widescreen version, in an excellent transfer with especially vibrant colours surpassing all previous video and TV broadcast versions I have seen. There are some minor blemishes on the print but nothing serious. The soundtrack is in mono, yet is clear and free of distortion. Unfortunately, except for the film's theatrical trailer there are no extras included.
Anyone caring for an entertaining Elvis movie needn't hesitate.
